His work integrates Game Theory, Statistical Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics, Markov Chains, Econophysics, Sociophysics, and computational methods applied to Transport Engineering, logistics, infrastructure, socioeconomic systems, and Materials Science. He investigates phenomena such as competition and cooperation among agents, Nash equilibrium, regime transitions, network resilience, planning under uncertainty, opinion dynamics, risk, and collective decision-making.
In Materials Science, he develops a complex-systems-based approach to interpret microstructural mechanisms, mechanical properties, corrosion behavior, durability, and functional performance as coupled variables, which can be analyzed through payoff functions and equilibrium processes. He also works on corrosion, applied electrochemistry, sustainable materials, concrete, composites, and characterization techniques such as Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy and Potentiodynamic Polarization.
In teaching, outreach, and science communication, he is dedicated to interdisciplinary education in Physics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and the Natural Sciences, with interests in teaching strategies, scientific experimentation, history of science, gifted education, and science popularization.
