Abstract Lattes
I have obtained my Ph.D. degree from Viçosa Federal University. The experimental part of my Ph.D. research took place at the Laboratory for Surface Science, which is situated within the Brazilian Nanotechnology National Laboratory in Campinas. Throughout my doctoral studies, my primary focus was to explore the application of nanomembranes as virtual substrates for facilitating the growth of nanostructures using molecular beam epitaxy.Since 2017, I have held the position of being the main responsible for the III-V MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy) within the Semiconductor Department at Johanne Kepler University - Linz. Within this role, I specialize in the growth of semiconductor quantum dots by Local Droplet Etching, which are applied in quantum technologies applications as source of single photon and entangled photon pairs. In February 2024, I returned to Brazil to join the Gleb Wataghin Institute of Physics as a postdoctoral researcher. In November 2024, I secured a Young Scientist grant within the FAPESP QuTia program for quantum technologies. My long-term objective is to establish a state-of-the-art epitaxy research facility in São Paulo to produce high-quality semiconductor heterostructures, supporting both academic research and industrial applications.
