I hold a bachelors degree in chemistry from the State University of Southwest Bahia, Brazil. During my mastersdegree, I studied plants and microorganisms, focusing on the analysis of crude extracts, the identification andisolation of bioactive compounds, and the discovery of new therapeutic agents. For my doctoral research, I worked in the field of Organic Synthesis, developing sustainable synthetic routesfrom biomass. Currently, I am a researcher at the University of Campinas (Unicamp), where I am developingsynthetic routes for the preparation of nitrogen-containing compounds using enabling technologies such ascontinuous flow and mechanochemistry.
