Holds a degree in Biotechnology through a sandwich program at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA)/Ferris State University (MI, USA) with a scholarship funded by CAPES (2014), a Masters in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Pará (2016), a Ph.D. from the PPGBIOTEC at the Federal University of Pará (2019), and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Federal University of Maranhão (2022) and UNICAMP (2023-2024). Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry at University of Oklahoma (OU). Has experience in Machine Learning, Biotechnology, Biodiversity, Chemistry, and Bioinformatics, with an emphasis on Theoretical and Computational Chemistry applied to enzyme engineering and drug design. Main areas of expertise include Machine Learning, Modeling, Molecular Dynamics, QM/MM Hybrid Methods, Ab Initio Modeling, Molecular Homology, Enzymatic Catalytic Mechanisms, Educational Software, and Science Education.Contact: alberto@ou.edu
