African literatures, Postcolonial studiesElena Brugioni is Associate Professor (MS5) in African Literatures and Postcolonial Theory at the Department of Literary Theory of the University of Campinas UNICAMP and Lecturer at the Graduate Program in Literary Theory and History of the same institution. She is co-director of KALIBAN - Research Centre in Postcolonial studies and World Literatures (CNPq) and associate reserarcher of CEsA – Centre for African and Development Studies, ISEG, University of Lisbon.
She teaches and supervises graduate projects in the fields of Comparative Literatures, African literary studies and Postcolonial theory. She has published widely and co-edited volumes in the fields of African literatures, Indian Ocean Studies, Comparative Literatures and Postcolonial theory. Her research is engaged with critical cartographies and theoretical paradigms for the study of contemporary African literatures in a postcolonial comparative perspective.
