Research Activities

The research interest of our laboratory (LabSin – Laboratory for Integrated Systems ) is focused on integrated systems, including five different areas to which they are connected: 1. in the vehicle dynamics area, we study the behavior of vehicles (hybrid/electric vehicles) and components such as the transmission and gear shift; 2. the second area comprises the control that can be applied to different solutions (vehicle, robot, wheelchair, automation), and some types are fuzzy and PID; 3. the robotics area includes mobile robots and manipulators, which deals with design, construction and use of robots; 4. in the accessibility area we aim to provide solutions for people with special needs; and finally, 5. in the project design area we aim to help the designer to develop new solution

Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica Ênfase Em Mecatrônica pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (2004), mestrado em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2007) e doutorado em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2011). Atualmente é professor MS 5.1 na Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Mecânica, com ênfase em Dinâmica Veicular, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: dinâmica veicular, desempenho veícular, controle, contato roda piso e cadeiras de rodas. Participa também do Comitê Técnico do Programa Federal MOVER - Linha V (Biocombustíveis, Propulsão Alternativa à combustão e Segurança veicular), coordenado pela FUNDEP e é Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa do CNPq - Nível 2.
