Electrical EngineeringDaniel Dotta received the B.Sc. (2000), M. Eng. (2003) and PhD (2009) degrees in Power System Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis, SC, Brazil. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Campinas, Campinas, SP, Brazil. He was previously a visiting scientist with the Power System and Control Laboratory at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY, and a Lecturer at Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC). His research focuses on the control and optimization of systems and networks, with applications in modernized power grids. Some of his main research goals are:
• Representative models of wind and solar generator for power system analysis;
